Home for the Holidays Southlake is finally here! In just five days, the community will begin its transformation into a winter wonderland with the annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 21. The City of Southlake will bring in over 50,000 pounds of snow for kids to play in, setting the tone for weeks of holiday celebrations and activities. Continue reading for a full list of events!

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Saturday, November 21 4:30-8:30pm
Listen to carols from Southlake school choirs, take part in ornament decorating, enjoy a carriage ride, write a letter to Santa, build a snowman, create some holiday crafts, take a ride on the 4-lane snow hill, and much more!

Carriage Rides in the Square
November 22-January 9 (Weekends Only)
Step back in time as you enjoy a ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage through Southlake Town Square.

Letters to Santa
November 22-December 24
Drop off a letter to Santa at the Post Office in Santa’s Village. A truly magical experience for the kids!

Photos with Santa
November 22-December 24
Children of all ages can get their picture taken with Santa Claus at his Village in Rustin Park. Take home a cherished memory that makes a great gift for grandparents!

Breakfast with Santa
Saturdays, December 5 & 12
What a treat! Make holiday crafts while enjoying tasty breakfast treats with Santa Claus. Don’t forget to bring your camera, and register online so you don’t miss out.

Story Time at the Station
Wednesday, December 9 11:00am
Southlake’s firefighters and police officers will read Merry Christmas BIG HUNGRY BEAR! by Don and Audrey Wood at this special event. There will be puppets, a sing along, and tours of the station as well!

Cookie Decorating
Monday, December 14 4:00pm
Come to Southlake’s Town Hall for a complimentary afternoon of cookies, frosting, candies, and laughs.

Toy & Food Basket Assembly with Christmas is for Children
Saturday, December 19
Register now to participate in this heartwarming event at Southlake’s St. John Baptist Church. Help spread joy to families who otherwise would not have a holiday celebration, and fulfill each child’s wish list with something they want, something they need, and something educational.

Library Holiday Open House

Story Time with Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus is coming to Southlake’s Town Hall to visit the children and share some holiday stories, hot cocoa, cookies, and fun!

Noon Year’s Eve
Thursday, December 31 10:45am-12:00pm
This kid-friendly celebration will feature a photo booth, crafts, party food, and an apple juice toast to bring in the (almost) New Year.
