When you choose to live in The Garden District, steps from Southlake Town Square, there are endless ways to get involved with the local community. From volunteering at events, to meet and greets with popular community members, Southlake encourages its residents to engage in events and provide their opinions as Southlake continues to flourish and grow. Last night, The Garden District’s Sales Team, Nancy Holloway and Chris Machold, attended the Southlake Chamber of Commerce’s “Meet the Mayor, Coach Dodge, and Leslie Barrows” event. This event was special for the City of Southlake because it was an opportunity to meet a few prominent members of the Southlake community.
Attorney Leslie Barrows and the Barrows Law Firm invited community members and their families to meet Southlake Mayor Laura Hill and the new Carroll Dragons head football coach, Riley Dodge. Attendees of the event spent quality time with two of the largest influencers in town as they prepare for the next step in their careers. Mayor Laura Hill will be starting her next term as Mayor in May, while Riley Dodge is preparing for his first season on the other side of the Carroll Athletics program. Riley Dodge went to Southlake Carroll High School and was the Quarterback in 2006, when they won the 5A State Championship.
Networking events similar to the “Meet the Mayor, Coach Dodge, and Leslie Barrows” event are common in Southlake. They are a great way to get involved with the Southlake community as well as a perfect way to meet your neighbors.
