It’s that time of year again! Oktoberfest Southlake is happening this weekend. Enjoy three days of family-friendly fun in Southlake’s beautiful Town Square with a wide range of food, beverages, arts and crafts, activities, and live entertainment.
We highly recommend catching the Wiener Dog Races on Saturday, October 3rd, a real crowd favorite at Oktoberfest Southlake. Last year, over 180 dogs took part! The event kicks off with a Wiener Dog Parade at 9:30 a.m. to showcase the participating pooches, who often sport elaborate costumes to distinguish themselves from their competitors. The races begin at 10:00 a.m., and are always packed with spectators. Go early to get a good spot! If you’d like your wiener dog to take part, sign them up to be a participant here.
Foodies will be delighted at the selection of vendors at this year’s Oktoberfest. From German favorites like sausage and strudel to American classics like funnel cake and hot dogs, there will be plenty of good eats to sample throughout the weekend festivities. And, of course, there’s the beer! A number of beer tents will be set up throughout Town Square, in addition to an authentic Bier Garten and grand Festhalle serving a wide array of fresh brews for sampling.
Oktoberfest Southlake has a jam-packed entertainment lineup, with three different stages full of musical acts, dancers, and more. If you want an authentic Oktoberfest experience, be sure to catch the The German Band of North Texas, the Alpine Dancers, and the Texanischer Schuhplattler Verein d’Holzar. There will also be an excitement-packed children’s area with crafts and entertainment for the kids. Check out the Oktoberfest Southlake entertainment schedule for more info.
Don’t miss out on this year’s Oktoberfest Southlake! Attendance is free, parking is free, and there are three whole days’ worth of eating, drinking, shopping, and entertainment to take in.
