On Wednesday, October 17th residents of The Garden District and future homeowners of The Parkview Residences gathered at our Sales Center for an evening of wine and art pairing with Garden District resident Deanna Kienast. Attendees sipped on a selection of wines selected by our in-house sommelier Chris Machold while they learned about the making of (and meaning behind) Deanna’s paintings. A few lucky winners walked home with a piece of art, including one of Deanna’s signature painted wine bottles.
Dubbed “rule-breaking,” “unconventional,” and “edgy,” Deanna Kienast has become one of the country’s most beloved and well-received visual artists. Her unique style sees vibrant colors combine — or as some say, collide — with rich textures, and from that union comes themes of passion, solitude, togetherness, melancholy, and love. All are hallmarks of an original Deanna Kienast work.
Interested in adding Deanna’s work to your art collection? You can view her portfolio online at deannakienast.com. While Deanna does not have plans to set up an online store (she’s a believer that great art is not bought online), you can email her at DK@deannakienast.com to arrange any purchases you wish to make. You can also commission Deanna to create a unique work of art specific to the room, colors, and space you have in mind. Note that scale is a moving target since Deanna is a rule-breaker and a firm believer in “Big art. Big statement. No boundaries.”
